Brass for Halloween?

Brass for Fall Festivals or Halloween? Yes!

We love doing Fall Festivals and Performances for Halloween!

A few years ago, somebody called and asked if we could play in their downtown shopping area as entertainment for the trick-or-treaters. I didn’t immediately say yes. Were we a good fit? We had done a lot of Christmas, weddings, cocktail hours, etc, but never a Halloween themed performance. It didn’t take long before we thought of a long list of tunes that would work well. We all come from different backgrounds, so the list grew from Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D minor to the Theme from the “Munsters” to pop tunes such as Sweet Dream are Made of This and of course, Ghostbusters. We also threw in a bunch of character themes such as Batman, Mario, Elsa, and Jurassic Park (for random dinosaur encounters). The kids loved it!

Our littlest Halloween fan!

We quickly realized another advantage of using us for music and entertainment. We can work self contained without the need for any power. Want us to move down the block? No problem! How about the middle of the street in a festival? No problem. What about in the middle of a corn maze? As long as we have a map, no problem!

Some of the songs you’ll hear us playing during a Halloween Festival:

Thriller
Ghostbusters
Monster Mash
Munsters/Tales of the Crypt
This is Halloween
Theme from Halloween
Sweet Dreams
Batman vs. Mario
Spiderman
Superstition
Game of Thrones Theme
Funeral March Of A Marionette (Alfred Hitchcock theme)
Romeo & Juliet: Dance of the Knights
Addams Family
“Gomez” from The Addams Family
Every Little Thing She Does is Magic
House of the Rising Sun
Theme from The Blob
… and many more are being added all the time.
